Up Lake Cruise crew wanted
Russ is looking for crew on the Ericson 25 to join the up lake cruise Wednesday August 6 to Sunday August 10. Destination will be Graham Harbor. Reply to [email protected] if interested.
Lock it right!
It is extremely important to lock the boat shed correctly! There should be the LCSA lock at one end of the chain and the City lock at the other end. The chain passes through the hasp loop with the hasp closed. Under no circumstance should a lock be locked on the hasp loop. The City has cut our lock off a number of times when the building was improperly locked and locks are expensive and it is unfavorable for our relationship with the City.
Adopt a boat
Boat maintenance is an ongoing effort. We need members to "adopt a boat" that they will take responsibility for maintenance or at least monitoring and reporting maintenance needs.
We are currently applying for grant funds to enable extensive maintenance on our boats and trailers. A list of known maintenance needs will be published soon.
Regatta and racing clinic
The regatta is coming up September 13 & 14 and this should be the year all of the club boats are sailing in it!
If you are interested in learning the basics of sailboat racing, especially the starting line tactics please respond to [email protected] and a date for the clinic will be set.
Free boat and trailer
We have a Holder 14 hull only on a moderately useful trailer that is free to a good home or if not a good home just about any home will do. Unfortunately we do not have a mast or sails for this boat.
