Pioneer Fire disrupted up lake activity last summer
Work Party Saturday April 26 Noon
Our annual pre-season work party is scheduled for Saturday April 26 at noon. We often complete all of the tasks in two to three hours and will retreat to the Nutfarm for burgers when the work is done.
As a reminder, boat use requires four hours of volunteer time each year and this is a great way to accomplish that and meet up with fellow members.
There will be boat washing, boat shed clean up and a variety of maintenance items to do.
Want to teach sailing?
Last year the classes filled in 20 seconds after on-line registration opened. Clearly, we can fill more classes but we need people to teach them.
If you like sailing and can tolerate people we need you! A "train the trainer" class will be held in April so if you are interested send us an email at [email protected]
The instructor training will take at least one full day. Candidates will also need to complete Washington Mandatory Boater Education (also will be sheduled in April or can be done on-line). Beginning sailing classes usually run one evening a week for six weeks but you would be able to set up your own schedule.
Offering free sailing classes pays our rent to the City for use of the boat shed and surrounding space so we need to make sure we keep the program going.
