Mitchell Creek weekend Oct 18, 19, 20
Just when you thought it was safe to mow the lawn another worthwhile distraction comes up!
October can be the best time of year to enjoy our boat in campgrounds so we have a weekend scheduled at Mitchell Creek October 18-20.
Mitchell Creek features a relatively short haul from Chelan, lots of dock space and a shelter with a fireplace.
Reserve a boat for the weekend or email [email protected] for ferry service from Fields Point to join in the fun.
Boat haul out, work party and BBQ Oct 27
We will have a work party to wrap things up for the season on Sunday October 27 starting at 1:00 p.m.
After we haul boats out of the water and tidy up join us for burgers at the Nut Farm to enjoy a little social time with your fellow members.
We will ask for rsvp's a little later this month.
Furling jibs
It is vital that jibs on boats with furlers are completely wrapped with nothing flagging out when furled. Any bit sticking out will catch the wind and may unfurl the sail resulting in shredded cloth.
If a jib will not furl completely go forward and hand wrap the sail and tie it off with some of the sheet.
