Spring Work Party and Barbeque Sunday April 21!!
Noon to four, Sunday April 21 with burgers at the Nut Farm following.
Burgers and chips provided, bring a side and beverage. An rsvp would help us have an idea of how many burgers to be ready for.
This is a great time to meet up with fellow sailors! Forecast is for 60 with some gusty wind possible.
We usually finish work early when we have a good turnout.
Here are a few of the tasks:
- Rack assembly in the boat shed with moving a lot of stuff out then back in again.
- Prep the Capri 14 for fiberglass work (sanding etc.) Glue the wood trim piece.
- Remove the damaged jibs from the Merit and the Hunter 216.
- Sweep the boathouse. Inventory sails.
- Wash boats. Wax the the yellow 15' boat.
- Launch the Ericson 25 and the Merit.
- Move the rest of the big boats to behind the shed.
- Organize the small parts.
- Hose off the life jackets.
- Bring rags and that old thing of wax sitting on your shelf.
Registration for free sailing classes will open on Tuesday April 30 at 6 pm.
Beginning classes will run on Monday evenings at 6:00 May 13 - June 17
Advanced will run on Monday evenings at 6:00 June 24 to July 15
Other classes may be added.
All class positions filled in 15 minutes last year so be ready to sign up!
Visit Earth Day in Chelan at Riverwalk Park April 20 10-4. There will be a lot of interesting booths and the latest in electric vehicles to check out.
Address change! The cost of a post office box went to $168 per year so we have changed the LCSA mailing address to 29 Chestnut St. Chelan WA 98816 where the PO will bring the mail to us for free. How that makes sense to anyone outside of the post office is a mystery.
